Where From? Where Now?  Mapping Beckett

Our monthly season exploring the work of Samuel Beckett and his influences continues on Wednesday 4 November with...

Joyce and Beckett - the Italian Connection
An evening to explore the influence of the literature and thinking of the Italian writers Dante, Bruno, Vico and Leopardi, among others, on the work of James Joyce and Samuel Beckett that led to their ideas on religion, eternity, Heaven and Hell and Purgatory, the shortness of life, but also on love, nostalgia and death. Scripted from translations of old texts into a dramatic modern context. Entertaining and informative.
