(Written in 1963)
This production includes an original score by William Kraft.
In the play, an Opener (Fred Neumann) "opens" and "closes"
two characters: Voice (Alvin Epstein) desperately promises "this
time" to tell a story he can finish; and Music (Speculum Musicae
conducted by Mr. Kraft), equally struggles to create a finished composition.
The play increases in intensity and you'll have to tune in to find out
if they manage to finish or not.
Produced with a documentary about the
play itself which features interviews with the actors performing the
the series, as well as with
Beckett scholars.
